Born in 1672, Irini grew up in a small village on the island of Naxos. In 1687, her brother was killed by Jakob Coronello, the son of the French Consul. Heartbroken, Irini found the strength to seek justice with her friend Talos and carry on the legacy of the famous judge Konstantin Kokkos, a protector of the people remembered until this day. She was the driving force behind a highly unusual letter written to the Venetian admiralty in 1687, ending the peasant wars and resulting in the first sentence against a Venetian nobleman on Naxos.
